WHO WE ARE

WHO WE ARE

If you want to go fast, go alone
If you want to go far, go with others

African proverb

The Learning by Leaving Conference is a joint effort of the 4 European Commission mobility networks EURES, Eurodesk, Euroguidance and Europass.

EURES
helps jobseekers to find jobs and employers to recruit from all over Europe.

The European Union’s principle of free movement of workers is considered one of the most important rights of EU citizens.
It means that you can move to any EU Member State, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland to look for and take up a job.
Yet, it may sometimes seem like a daunting and difficult task to make use of this right.
The purpose of EURES is precisely to help and support jobseekers and employers with that.
This involves the provision of a broad range of services, available on the EURES portal or through the vast human network of more than a thousand advisers working in the EURES Member and Partner organisations.

EURODESK
is the main source of youth information on European policies, mobility information and opportunities.
Eurodesk is an international nonprofit association created in 1990: as a support organisation to Erasmus+, Eurodesk makes information on learning mobility comprehensive and accessible to young people and those who work with them.
With a network of national coordinators connected to over 1.000 local information providers in 36 European countries, Eurodesk raises awareness on learning mobility opportunities and encourages young people to become active citizens.
Eurodesk answers enquiries and provides guidance for mobile young people across Europe, updates and manages content on the European Youth Portal and it also answers enquiries coming from the Portal.

Euroguidance is a European network of national resource and information centres for guidance in 34 European countries.
Its main target group consists of guidance practitioners in education and employment, among them professionals who provide information and guidance on international learning mobility to end-users seeking studying and training opportunities abroad.

EUROPASS
is a set of 5 documents to make people skills and qualifications clearly and easily understood in Europe.
Are you a job seeker, pupil or student, employer, teacher or trainer or higher education professional?
Then, Europass help citizens communicate their skills and qualifications effectively when looking for a job or training;
it helps employers understand the skills and qualifications of the workforce and
it helps education and training authorities define and communicate the content of curricula.
